For the first time the exhibition and congress took place in the significantly larger Halls 9 and 10 at the Düsseldorf exhibition grounds. The online-marketing-düsseldorf logistics centre with entrance, registration area and congress was located in Hall 9. Another premiere: The new concept enables all exhibitors to be accommodated in one hall; Hall 10 was completely available to exhibitors.
Digital marketing continued to chart a successful course this year. Advertising turnover in traditional online advertising rose in 2006 by some 60 per cent in comparison to the previous year. In the meantime the internet had risen to become the fourth-largest advertising medium. But this success was also leading to further specialisation and was placing high demands on marketers and decision-makers. As the trend scout and initiator for digital marketing, online-marketing-düsseldorf was therefore again showcasing all the current issues and innovations in the industry in 2007: from video ads via interactive communities to the point of new targeting solutions.
