Fit for the Future: CPD kicks off the season with a new structure |
|
| More up-to-date, straight-forward and fresher: At the next Igedo Fashion Fairs from 1 to 3 February CPD will present itself in a different light and with a modern hall design. In close cooperation with London-based design agency JHP, which also works for the British department store chain Selfridges & Co, a trade fair concept was developed that focuses on modern, clear-cut structures and new presentation formats. These show off the exhibited collections to their best advantage while the modern and harmonious look and feel also provides trade visitors with a better overview of the existing ranges. |

Düsseldorf Showrooms look to CPD Dates 3,000 Collections featured on the Rhine from 1 – 3 February |
|
| Despite reports to the contrary, Düsseldorf Showrooms will open next season as usual during the Igedo Fashion Fairs Düsseldorf. In spite of the very tight trade fair schedule at the start of next year and the clash of dates, particularly with the trade fairs in Berlin, virtually all the over 800 Düsseldorf Showrooms will be opening their doors to international buyers during the Igedo Fashion Fairs (1 to 3 February 2009). |

| Igedo Fashion Fairs Düsseldorf close with 29,700 visitors - Two thirds of buyers ordered in the halls - New concept at Body Look very well received |
|
| All’s well that ends well, you might say. It was with mixed expectations that the entire sector had kicked off the Düsseldorf weekend despite high energy prices, consumer uncertainty, increasing inflation and the knock-on effects straining the European clothing trade. Overall, the last few days saw some 54,000 buyers coming to Düsseldorf. |

| Igedo Fashion Fairs Düsseldorf from 27 to 29 July 2008 - Out of the halls and off to the beach: in the new “Little Italy” segment over 30 designers will be presenting lively young fashion in the open air |
|
| The Igedo Company will be bringing Italy’s beaches to Düsseldorf, transforming the areas between the exhibition halls at the Igedo Fashion Fairs into a real holiday oasis. Lined up along fine-grained sand will be turquoise, wooden beach huts, umbrellas and deckchairs with the delicious smell of pizzas and pasta wafting through the air. Refreshment will not just come in the form of Italian gelato but also a swimming pool while a DJ spinning tunes on the turntables will provide just the right party music. Italy in miniature form offering visitors not just relaxation but obviously also trendy fashion. |

“Retail should not hide its head in the sand” |
|
| Fashion words are in. The current trade fair season could be “anti-cyclic”. With cautious consumers, sleepy sales numbers, full warehouses and lowered limits, retail is not exactly particularly order-happy at the time. At the same time it is also clear that retail needs to set strong impulses in order to reanimate consumers from their end. |

Igedo Fashion Fairs Düsseldorf set Fashion Impulses Wide Range on Offer thanks to 2,150 Exhibitors and Collections |

| After years of reticence optimism is now returning to the German textile retail trade. The country is undergoing an upward trend, the economy is continuing to gather momentum and people are shopping with a greater desire to spend. Germany is once again a greater focus of interest for both national and international producers. International fashion brands now see this as an opportunity to regain the ground lost over the past few years. |
